today themes and SD cards?
Obviously today themes have to be in the "my documents" folder to work, but can I put them on my SD card somehow, and still have them found and working? I have alot and they take up space, kinda bugs me

Thanks

I have had them on my card, and still recognized in the Today function, but I have no idea what I did to get them to work. I tried to move them into a different folder on my card, and they didn't get recognized, so I moved them back, and now they don't work anymore. Even with them on the card, you can use file explorer and go to the card, then tap on the theme and it will work.

So, to sum it all up, yes it can work, but I have no idea what you need to do, or what I did to get it to.

My themes only work when they are in the main directory on my Flash or SD card. It will not work inside a folder.

Here's how to do it: Create a folder called "My Documents" on your Storage Card. Put your themes into this folder. Next, make sure you don't have a hidden file on your Storage Card called "ignore_my_docs." If you do, erase it. File Explorer won't find this file. Use a third-party file explorer like Advanced Explorer (best freeware file explorer) that can view hidden files.

Now your themes should show up under Settings>Today the same as they do when you install them in RAM. (Note, this also works for storing themes in Built-in Storge.)

You can also have themes visible from the root of a memory card. I have several in main memory in My Documents, and about 20-30 more on my CF card in the root.
