Engineering Software
Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew of any chemical/mechanical/fluid/petroleum engineering software, i saw the EngCalc on handango.com, but to be honest its content is mainly theoretical, things you would learn in school, Im looking for something with more of a professional spin on it with more/better property tables, cubic equation of state solving ability, flash point calcs, etc. Although, any info would be appreaciated. Thank You.

There is also a full emulator for the HP48 (and HP49) so if there are any programs available for the HP48 which do what you want you could run them in the emulator. Emu48 works great, go to hpcalc.org for downloads and info.

I'd say specific things like this would require you to create what you need on your own. You might get something going with pExcel, or if you have one of the more advanced spreadsheet packages (like from SoftMaker) you could probably do even more. Otherwise, you'd have to program something yourself.

I actually just made a ROM image of my calculator I used to use all the time which transfered over all my programs at the same time, I believe there are some rescources to transfer program files as binaries to the emulator, but I have never used them. Go through the section on emulators at hpcalc.org and you will probably find it.

Might try this
I use the regular "handheld" Jobber calculator for normal structural work and I don't think I could work without it. I have been wondering about the pocket PC Ultimate Advantage software shown at the bottom of the page. It has a 15 day free trial - If you try it let us know how it works.

I’ve just published my FULL roundup & tutorial on emulating HP’s calculators at http://www.aximsite.com/boards/emula...ws-mobile.html - don’t forget to check it out.
Also note that I’ve previously published a FULL roundup & tutorial on using TI’s calculators at http://www.aximsite.com/boards/appli...ws-mobile.html - it’s also worth checking out. (Sorry for the flood – I want all interested parties to take note of these articles. They’re well worth reading, I think.) | |||||||
