I hate ActiveSync....I really do....with every bone in my body.
I hooked my Ax up to my work PC for the first time yesterday with my new synch/charge cable. I set up a guest relationship....all I want to do is keep it charged while it's here with me, and install the apps that I download while I'm here.
As a test, I wanted to see if I could use the machine as a pass-through for Internet access. I set the proxy information and it went right out to the Web. Nice.
Then I get it home and try to sync it. I put it in its docking cradle, it authenticates, and proceeds to only sync the calendar, contacts, inbox, and favorites. No other options are available.
It usually syncs those items as well as MS Money (which I'll be getting rid of....lame), AvantGo, and Files.
I undocked it....went to options. The boxes were unchecked. I rechecked them. Docked....same thing.
I deleted and recreated the partnership....same thing.
I made sure that I restored the network settings to what they were beforehand and then did a manual sync to AvantGo through the cradle....worked like a charm...so I know it can get out to the Web. ActiveSync just won't let it add the task as something to do.
Any thoughts??
