I don't know if this is what you are looking for exactly, but there is a program MortgageCALC. It is awesome. It is freeware too, so at least it is worth trying out. You can look at it Here on Handango.
Three quick points on it, so that you are not surprised when it happens. First is when you go into the program it takes a couple of seconds to load, and then it goes to a liability release statement and you have to hit I accept to get into the program. Secondly, when you go to a certain function (i.e. loan calculations) it also takes a couple of seconds to download the calculation tables. Finally, what I really like is that you can create your own calculations. And it has about every function Excel has, so you don't have to skimp. I quickly created a tip and sales tax calculator just to see how easy it was. I plan on creating some other functions I use day in and day out in my job just to help out. Also this calculator does so much more than just mortgages, it has a conversion utility already installed as well along with about 12 other functions already installed, and it has graphs for each as well. I would give this 5 Stars, and recommend it for anybody. It doesn't replace your basic calculator, but it does so much finance wise. Perfect for longterm investments including cars, homes, other real estate, and loans. Check it out and I hope you like it as much as I do. And for no cost this program is unbelievable, it easily could sell for $30 for more.

Peter, I live in Dallas, and it works great for all that I need. Give me an idea what you mean?
I use it for all my calculations and never thought about whether it made a difference.

Hi Opulyst,
The mortgage interest in Canada is compounded half-yearly in arrears while I understand some mortage interest like UK is compounded monthly in advance. This makes a lot of difference in the interest charges, I don't know how this MortgageCalc calculates the interest. Peter

Peter,
You do have the option to change to different compounding terms. I do not see half yearly in arrears, although I do see half yearly. It is pretty sophisticated. And I don't know how versed you are in math or calculating these, but you can actually create your own mortgage calculations if you wanted. Also remember the program is free, I would suggest downloading it and trying it out, worst case you don't like it and you uninstall it. I promise even if it does not fit what you are looking for, you will not understand why such a great program is free.

Opulyst,
Thanks for the advice, it's been downloaded and seems to be a nice product worths at least $10 though I haven't got the time to explore it. I would recommend this free MortgageCALC by Greg Fisher to all members who are interested. Peter

Again Peter, I hope you find as much use with it as I have. It can be very powerful if you know what you are doing.

lygea.com has a great replacement for the HP 12-C. While many "HP-12" emulators may be functionally equal to the HP 12-C, this one even looks like one. And, to make it easier to use, the screen can be rotated.

Anyone know of an emulator/program like the HP49G for PPC?
It would be nice to integrate a familiar calculator onto my Axim...especially since the learning curve is so high with the 49G.

There are also graphing calculators, scientific calculators, and application bundles available. PowerOne Finance costs $59.99, and is well worth it for a professional or student.
