IMAP Mail: Unable to download all message bodies
I'm unable to consistently download all the message bodies in Pocket Mail for an IMAP account I have. When I refresh the inbox, about 50% of the message bodies download on the first pass. Of the remaining 50%, I am able to get most of them my hitting each messahe and toggling the 'don't download message body' refreshing, toggling 'download message body' and then refreshing agin. The ones the aren't dowloaded using this second method dont download and get tend to get mangled (messages get combined, become unreadable) when I try and view them in Pine, Evolution or Outlook.

It does not make a difference if I have the account to download the boides by default or just ddownload headers set. The IMAP server in question is an IMAP4 server running on netbsd - and of course works fine with Pine/Evolution/Outlook.

So, is Pocket Mail a POS and should I look elsewhere, or am I doing something horribly wrong?

Thanks!

I know this is a simple answer, but it has helped some people in the past. There is one of the options in the e-mail program that is by default set to "3 days". And this makes it so that it only downloads the messages from the past 3 days from your imap inbox. If you change it to a lot higher, or just uncheck it completely, it will help out. I changed mine to 30 days (usually my e-mail cycle), and it works fine with my IMAP account.

Forget to add that
Didn't think it was germane to the imap issue, but i unchecked the mail over foo days when i set up the account. (my inbox has some mails well over 90 days).

oddly it only impacts 'new' mails. i just wish it consistently did it to the spam.

thanks for the tip!
