Help button on the start menu
The help button on my start menu isn't working. I can use file explorer to start the help program but it will not start from the start menu. How is this button linked to the .exe file that starts help?

The HELP option in the Start menu is supposed to be app-specific. In other words, tapping on START - HELP will display a different help menu depending on what app is active at the time. Try starting various apps and then accessing help and see if any of them work or not. A good test would be to use some of the SETTINGS applets like Brightness, Memory, etc.

The help files are actually HTM files in the \Windows folder. The file for the main SETTINGS applets is called "ctpnl.htm". You can copy that file to your desktop PC and view its contents in your browser or with any HTML or text editor. You could even make some custom mods to it and copy it back to the Axim if you wanted to. If that file missing, that could account for getting no help in the menu. There is also a shortcut to each help file in the \Windows\Help folder on the Axim. If the shortcut for one is missing, it could account for your troubles as well.

The help button doesn't work with any app.. All the files you mentioned are on my ax and I can start help with the Omega One Battery bar and then tap view\all installed help, this brings up the help contents.
I wonder if the battery bar is the cause of the problem. I think I may do a hard reset and see if this corrects the problem.

Is there any way to get rid of the Help button... It's more of an annoyance and space waster than anything else.

Thanks,

Tyler
