Hp 48g/48g+/48gx/49g/49g+/49gx

Hello guys!
I'm a egineering student and I still couldn't find any of these HP emulators that would work at my Axim WM2003SE.
I've got just the HP 12C working on it!
Can somebody help me to have any of these HP calculators for engineers working on my Axim?
Thank you!

You also need the KML script, which isn't included. I tried going to the website, but couldn't connect. Would you have a copy of the KML script?

For the HP49G I use this one:

http://www.hpcalc.org/hp49/pc/emulat...aq-49g-kml.zip

For HP48SX/GX:

Well, here's how I got the 48g to work on my Axim x50.

I downloaded and installed the emu48ce emulator here.

http://www.leobueno.net/Download/emu48ce.exe

Then I went here and downloaded the WM2003 patch.

http://www.hpcalc.org/details.php?id=5982

After you download this, all you have to do is copy the emu48ce2003 program file (HP48.exe) and replace the older emu48ce program with the new HP48.exe file, where ever you have it installed.

Then you click on the program, select the KML file that you want that has already been installed and open the calc.

That's really cool to have my HP on my axim.

I attempted to follow the instructions that are posted above for getting the HP emulator to work.

Unfortunately when I "select" the KML per the last step, I get the following message:

Reading Wombat3 48SX.kml
10: Undefined token Hardware
Open block.
Fatal Error at line 10
This KML Script doesn't specify the ROM
Press Cancel to Abort.

Any Suggestions?

A couple extra tips.

I intalled the emulator in my built in memory and it works fine, but when you open the program for the first time it will ask you where the kml file is. You have to type the path exactly in the first box, then press the little V to put the contents of that file in the queue (lower box).

The Leo emu48ce only has the Roms for the 48g, 48gx, and 49g.

The program won't work with out the correct ROMs or the correct kml files.

I also can't remember if I did this or not but if you get an error about the keyboard or bmps then that means you just need to paste the keyboard file and bmps for the specific calculator into the file that contains your ROM.

I believe the wombat3 has the bmps and keyboard
http://privat.swol.de/ChristophGiess...pc/Wombat3.zip

This might not be an issue, I just tried so many things trying to get this to work that I can remember if I had to do this or not. :

Need steps on how to load HP 48/49 Emulator on Axim X5 Advanced with PPC2003

I must be confused. I see several threads and various links about how to load an HP 4x emulator onto Axim X50v. I, however, am still a holdout (and quite happy) utilizing and gaining new information and knowledge on X5 Advanced. While I am not able to purchase actual HP Calculator currently, I am interested in loading an emulator for ease of use while traveling/work. My questions are:
1.) Which specific emulator(s) do I need? Are the ones from hpcalc.org or the other source with the wompat file preferred?

2.)Is it true that I will need the emulator(s), ROMS (available either within the emulator software or from HP website)? Sharing ROMS I know is illegial or posts where to find them unless you own the hardware itself, but I found a link stating that HP allows use of their ROMS without owning the actual device?

3.)With the Emulator loaded, and applicable ROM, then the only other item is the script?

Please provide answers to questions above, applicable links, tips and hints for a successful first time loading of the emulator. Thanks! This Aximsite Rocks!!!

If you would like a really fine HP "emulation" for your PPC you need to check out Math-U-Pro. (www.creativecreek.com). This program is a fully programmable HP type calculator written specifically for the PPC - an outstanding piece of work and very inexpensive. If you're not concerned about the graphic display then this may really fill the bill for you - and you don't have to worry about loading ROM images and all that. I discovered the program several months ago while it was still in Beta (now released) - and it's really first-rate. You can re-assign keys, write lengthy and complex programs - the works.

I'd say the closest machine that this item emulates is probably the HP 32 SI-II ... very cool.

The ones from Hpcalc.org worked fine for me. The Wombat file is a KLM file which is a text file which defines the keyboard and the image used. You can find many at Hpcalc.org for the pocket pc.

Yes, you do need a copy of the calculator rom which you intend to emulate. HP has released some of these to the public and just about all the available roms can be downloaded at Hpcalc.org.

Yes you need a KLM script which I think stands for "Keyboard Language Module" but I could be wrong. This defines how the calculator displays.

OK - Here is what I have tried to this current time (1:45 a.m. EST) to get the emulator to work, but without success.

1.) Downloaded the emu48ce.exe rom leobueno.net website; Installed on PC and using Active Sync Module was installed apparently successfully onto Axim x5

2.)Concurrently, I selected the 49G Rom emulator as an option and downloaded apparently successfully onto Axim x5.

3.) Next, I downloaded the WM2003 patch from the link below:
http://www.hpcalc.org/details.php?id=5982
When I tried to execute the exe file within the zip, the following error occurred: hp48.exe was not compiled for a CPU with this version of Windows; Please contact vendor for update (PC at home is PIII 933 Mhz running Win 98SE).

Additionally, when I select the GNU EMU48CE icon on the x5, the program flashes for about 0.5 seconds and then returns to the Program window without fully executing the program.

I attempted to follow the earlier advice in this thread given as "After you download this, all you have to do is copy the emu48ce2003 program file (HP48.exe) and replace the older emu48ce program with the new HP48.exe file, where ever you have it installed. " Without being able to execute the hp48.exe file, where do I go from hete??

The contents of the KML (bmp file et al) can this just be dragged from the zip file on the PC over to the install folder on the x5? Please advise - I am lost as to where to go from here!
