good scientific calculator...
Is there a good scientific calculator for pocket pc? It would be great not to have to take my calculator to math class. I would like it to be free. But still give me links to some that arent free.

I know that a TI-83 emulator out there, but you need to get the rom using a Graph-Link cable and a computer. It's free!
TI 89 Emulator I don't know how well it will work because I have never used it. There is also Math Expander, a powerful graphing calculator, but it is very hard to learn and even harder to actually use. It's worth a try anyway. Also free! Math Expander There is also a third commercial program which is the most powerful out of all of these, and it is reasonably easy to use. You can probably forget about using your fingers to run it--you'll need a stylus. It costs $30. Mobile Space Time Hope this helps

I use MathUPro. It emulates the HP scientifics and financials with RPN. I used the Palm version for years and just registered the PPC beta version. Programmable but does not do graphing. Very powerful yet very easy to use.

Take a look at the list HERE. Several different kinds. Maybe you'll find one to suit your needs. Also stop by my View MyPDA to find some more useful apps and info.

I've been looking around for a decent HP style PPC calculator for some time. MathUPro looks excellent - I think I'm going to buy it. Thanks for the tip! The Axim is becoming a bona-fide device eliminator. Think I'll sell my HP's on eBay now. -CB

Yeah - even in its present state it's certainly worth the $19.95 - I went ahead and paid for it. I, too, have used HP calculators a long time. My first one was back in 1977 when I was at Georgia Tech. No other calculators even came close. RPN is too natural - can't use anything else anymore. -CB

I’ve just published my FULL roundup & tutorial on emulating HP’s calculators at http://www.aximsite.com/boards/emula...ws-mobile.html - don’t forget to check it out.
Also note that I’ve previously published a FULL roundup & tutorial on using TI’s calculators at http://www.aximsite.com/boards/appli...ws-mobile.html - it’s also worth checking out. (Sorry for the flood – I want all interested parties to take note of these articles. They’re well worth reading, I think.)
