It was not working for me on WM6.1 either. I switched to pwrstat v2.5 Windows Mobile Pocket PC freeware software mobile friendly download. It is not as fancy but does the job of showing both power and memory up top

I haven't tried it on WM6.1 yet. But I can't imagine how it could brick the device in any way since it simply uses standard API. It uses low level code to read, never modify, some register value to determine the CPU speed, only if your device has PXA27x CPU.
I'll try it on WM6.1 soon. BTW, has anyone tried the monitor on WM Standard (Smartphone) devices? Only the "monitor" but not the "tweak"?

Finally, I got WM6.1 and tried my tool on it. Works fine.
For those who found it doesn't work, please give some more details, like the model of the device, type of CPU if you know, and the exact behavior. Thanks.
