REVIEW: Pocket Quicken 2.0 for Pocket PC

Pocket Quicken 2.0 for Pocket PC Review
Unlike Palm users, Pocket PC users do not have a robust and reliable money management software available. Sure, Microsoft provides Pocket PC version of Money free of charge but it is not even close to being reliable. There are several other applications developed by small companies. They mostly work. But with Microsoft Money and Quicken dominating money management category for desktop PCs, they are struggling to find users who do not use either Money or Quicken, which are hard to come by. Intuit is also trying to see if they can win Pocket PC users' hearts by partnering with LandWare, Inc. to create Pocket Quicken 2.0 for Pocket PC.

Aximsite.com editor William Cherry (pixelpusher2k) has written an article about Pocket Quicken 2.0 for Pocket PC. See if Intuit/LandWare combo will finally save you from all the grief you got from MS.

No viable options for PPc??
To say that the pocket pc community does not have a viable money mangement program like the palm users is not a fair statement. If you haven't yet checked out Cash Organizer Deluxe 2003 yet you should. It comes with a free 25 day trial and is the most robust application that I have seen to date for the pocket pc. Yes, it is or was a bit pricey, but I belive that Inesoft has dropped the price to $29 to be more in line with other products.

It also has an add on application that will allow users to sync their CO Delux databases directly into M$ Money 2003 or later.

Try it out and I think you will be pleased, but at least recognize that there are other options out there if you look around.

Inesoft Cash Organizer Deluxe 2003

VandHlebar,

I am aware of Cash Organizer Deluxe 2003 and we are currently trying to work with Inesoft to write an article about it. Once we finish our article, I might have to change my statements in my announcement. But I still believe that Palm users have more options than Pocket PC users.

Thanks for the comment though...
