This contest is for a used Dazzle Digital Video Creator 80 setup.
This contest is not the easiest to win, but it is a great little unit for the try. To win you will be writing a video encoding tutorial for the site. How are we going to choose a winner. This is a little trickier. I want to award the best tutorial with the prize. So, this is how we will do it. Email
Tshirts@aximsite.com the following:
1. Title of your proposed tutorial.
2. What software titles you plan to show the use of in the tutorial.
3. What is the timeframe in which you feel you can accomplish this.
4. Forum Username
We will evaluate this info and choose the top 3 from this. Then we will contact #1 and say go for it. They will then be expected to complete the tutorial. When received. They win ! If they can not follow through, we contact #2.... The reason for the 2 step process is to not waste anyones time in producing it and not winning.
ANYONE CAN WIN, DEADLINE FOR STEP 1 IS OCT 20, 2003....
If you decided to start anyway, that is up to you. This will save the time included in the production. The purpose of this contest is to provide Aximsite users with a great resource for encoding video to fit on their Axim. We have some great forum info, but we want to get something in the tutorial section. Thanks.
What is expected.
Good Writing. Easily understood by any expeirence level. Screenshots and pics.

MORE INFO on Dazzle Digital Video Creator 80:

The easiest was to capture and edit video on your computer
Capture and edit video from your analog camcorder, add special effects, music, and titles, then output your completed project to CD, VCD, SVCD, and DVD with Dazzle Video Creator 80 (DVC 80). Experience the thrill of editing digital video without making a big dent in your pocketbook. The DVC 80 is inexpensive, easy to install, and includes a copy of Pinnacle's Studio QuickStart editing software. The external USB device includes inputs for composite, S-Video, and stereo RCA audio.
Edit movies with Studio QuickStart
Pinnacle's Studio QuickStart software makes editing movies on your PC or laptop as easy as one-two-three.
Step One: Capture
Attach your camcorder or VCR to the DVC 80 breakout box, install the Studio QuickStart software, and capture the video clips you want to your computer's hard drive.
Step Two: Edit
Import your photo and video clips, then drag-and-drop them onto the editing timeline. From there, trim the clips, add a 2D or 3D transition and title or two, and sync the whole project up with your favorite music (Studio QuickStart supports CD, MP3, and WAV audio). If you want to get really creative, try out a few of the software's built-in special effects features.
Step Three: Output
Add menus and chapter breaks and burn a disc that can play in your living room DVD player. Studio QuickStart saves your finished movie in any number of formats, including AVI, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, RealVideo, or Windows Media Format. Use RealVideo and Windows Media Format to export your video to the web, and use MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 to export your video onto VCD, SVCD, or DVD.
With all of these features and more, it's easy to see why the DVC 80 is the perfect solution for hobbyists who want to dabble in digital video, but don't want to get bogged down with a product that requires a steep learning curve.
