I think that is pretty mean ... actually they finished the thing a long time ago (I also know that there was a long time of vapor waring ...).
Just unfortunately nobody really cares that much any more cause new PDAs either come with active USB or without CF slot. But for me ... the thing is just nice! If you know how much plastic molds are you know why the price is so high. That little bit of electronic cannot be the big part. Development definitely does the rest. I am afraid with the story of this device they will never break even ...
I think one thing they really should improve is the sales channels. Outside the US one gotta add 50% to the price due to their ridiculous delivery charges. Expansys is not better - they have an extreme $->Eur exchange rate and add 12EUR delivery before adding the VAT ... (sums up to 124USD with the current exchange rate - I know, our salaries are higher than the average US salary but not 50%) They would have to sell this device with a fair price in all countries to at least sell it to the people that might have a reason for being interested.
Actually I was about to buy it but after some quarrels with their sales (I would not have cared if I would have had to wait some weeks for the thing if it gets the CIF costs down ...) I convinced myself that I do not really need it. Now - I am not that sure any more

And I am also not that sure if I am able to wait a long time ...
I will send a more detailed review than anything that I found so far on the net ... (and I do not think that is too difficult ...) maybe that is another point: before BUYING I would like to know what I can do with it: can it handle a USB hub? Which HDD cases actually work? Webcams? Mice? gamepads

(even I don't really know what this is for) Ethernet controller? How does it handle Cell phones? Do all USB sticks work? Which cameras? Cardreaders?
Or did I miss some more detailed review somewhere? Probably this contest on aximsite is one step in the right direction ...
regards
Daniel
