Hi I checked this thread before installing the upgrade and it seemed like there were no problems so I installed it. Big mistake: I've lost any ability to use activesync. The synchronizing doesn't work and I can see what's on the axim from my pc for about 30 seconds and then it's lost as though the USB connection is broken! Any help/suggestions would be great.

Do a hard reset again to start from fresh after the update.
Your best bet is NOT to restore your back up file for now until you know what program(s) is preventing you from syncing.
Try creating a new partnership and see if you can sync before you do any restoring.

It took me a few hours to realize that after I restored my backup, my MS Entertainment Pack and MS Pocket Steets had old file drivers that were messing up my sync. When I went to reinstall one of these programs, I got a msg if I wanted to replace a new(current) file with an old dated file. Of course I said no. But after I figured it out, nothing has gone wrong since.
It will take a lot of patience but that's the best that I can think of. Sorry but I hope it helps.

It worked fine. Facelift is still the bigest PITA I have experienced! Had to delete it and I may leave it off going forward.

seems to be a little faster than before, also when running multiple programs in auto processor mode, it seems to be running at 200mhz more often. This should extend battery life even longer

If the ROM can be flashed so easily, can virus also attack on it and crash the ROM?

maybe, but that's doubtful. there aren't many viruses around for pocket pc, and the chances of actually running into one are very slim.

If there are any Pocket PC viruses out there, I'm sure I'll get one, so I'll post when I do ROFL
