Wife getting a BB pearl

Despite my attempts to get her to get a windows mobile, my wife is has t-mobile blackberry pearl coming in a week. I have the data plan, I am wondering if we will have to get two because of her pearl. More importantly I am wondering what the must have apps are for the pearl? I want her to get so used to depending on it that she gets tired of all of its short comings and decides to move up to a windows mobile.
She really needs a good finance program which really makes me wish SPB finance would run on a BB. But it dosen't so... what else is good?
