Any Members with Blackberry Pearl II

Just wondering how it is. I could upgrade my BB 7250 to the Pearl II and was looking for your feedback before I do.

How is the keyboard working?
Is the display too small?
How often do you have to charge it?
What did you had before and was the transition easy?
Any features you really like or dislike?

Frenchy - I don't have the Pearl II. I have the original Pearl. It was my first BB, so I learned on Sure-Type. The keyboard works good. Yes, the screen is smaller than the Ax, but it's still pretty good for reading emails and stuff. The battery is good, when I am in an area with good reception. I have horrible reception at home, so my battery does drain a little faster.

From what I have read about the Pearl II, they improved some of the keys (talk, end, etc.), the made an external micro-sd slot and I think a 3 mp camera.

Frenchy, blackberry works in such a way that you don't have to keep charging it, especially if you buy a holster, and also by setting it to turn off at night, turn on in the morning automatically. The battery can last for a week, depending on your usage.

I had original pearl for a while, I must say that if you are not the heaviest of typers, it is a great little phone, I always felt it was for ladies, but either case, it is a great phone, camera was much better than my current curve, and the OS worked faster (or maybe i didn't fill it with as much junk).

If you need to constantly be reading e-mails, forget about any other negative comments anyone makes, and go get a blackberry, but if you area looking for the fanciness and customizations of WM, don't bother getting one, you will soon get bored.

I do not personally have one, but I do know a good friend at school who does. (We frequently play with each other's phone, his pearl, and my iPhone)

I frankly prefer the iPhone... I still cannot get used to the keyboard, but it isn't too bad.

Both batteries run down somewhat faster, because we both have T-Mobile, and we get zero zilch reception at school, and perhaps 2 bars outside.
Still, it isn't bad.

Although the battery may last a week (not for me; I like my phone on at all times, and I use it for music a lot), keep in mind that Li-Ion batteries last longer if you keep it charged!
