Several setup questions

I've searched the Web high and low and nothing seems to address some of these setup questions. Links are helpful, but please be specific if you can offer answers.

I received the Blackberry 8310 with a clean profile a month ago. I got it set up easy enough, and even synchronized my Outlook Contacts, Calendar and Tasks with no problems at all. I'm using the 'BB Dimension Today' theme.

Yesterday, all of my information was wiped when I tried to do a backup and sync yesterday. Blackberry insisted on a password, which I had never assigned, and since it did not accept the ones I gave it, it wiped the phone. Fine, I figured, all of my data is backed up, right? Now, the problems begin.

I managed to restore what was backed up a few weeks ago, which was practically nothing. Now, I've managed to synchronize the contacts, but it is not transferring the Tasks or Calendar from Outlook. I have adjusted all of the settings (Settings, Advanced, etc.) on the Desktop Manager's Intellisync app, but nothing shows up on the device. The contacts, again, worked just fine, so it is set to the correct folders.

-On the device, when I go to Advanced Options-->Calendar it comes up with 'Facebook', but has no other options. Is there a way to change this?

-What needs to be done to get the device to recognize the 2Gb micro-media card?

-None of the recent calls or any other data is showing up on the Home screen. Any idea why?
