Best Wireless USB Bluetooth Adapter
Hey guys, I just wanted to get an opinion of which Bluetooth Adapter to buy to set up my PAN. I have been looking at the Linksys and D-Link Adapters. Anyone have any suggestions about either or another adapter? Cheers

I use the D-link without issue though I have read that others have had problems with this device.

Here is a link to a similar discussion that contains links to two bluetooth dongles I bought. Both work fine with excellent range. If I had to chose one over the other, it would be difficult, but I would probably go with the first one I linked.

I am presently also using the Linksys USB dongle but while working with my laptop and the new Globalstar BT 338 GPS receiver, I noticed that when the receiver was where it would give a real strong signal the GPS lock would only last for a short time and moving the receiver over to a window in the office where it had good view if the sky and locked up right away, the signal status often dropped below good. I've just ordered the new Socket USB BT dongle which is spec'd out to 100Meters (300 feet). I figure that with the 300 ft range on the adapter and the reported 10 ft range on the receiver I should be able to keep the same desktop setup and still get and maintain GPS lock to do route planning etc.

Hope it all comes together.
