hp headphones
I just got a set of hp bluetooth headphones used and it didn't come with any software. I didn't think anything of it as I thought I could dl it from hp. I found the update, but I don't see any software for it at all, Nor do I know how to use these things. I finally figured out that I can hold down the center button until the light flashes blue and red and my 4700 will find them, but it wants a passkey after that and it says that no services are discovered. Can anyone tell me how these should work or where I can get the software for them? Or email me the file I need would be great too. Thanks.

You could probably download it from my web server. The passkey is 0000 but you need to install the High Quality Driver for it to work.

Have you looked here? This would be all you need to get going. Make sure that your PPC is in the cradle. Download it and run the file. It will load the BT Headphone drivers to your PPC.

Has anyone successfully paired these headphones with a desktop computer. I have a bluetooth adaptor and am going to give it a try when I get home this afternoon.

The headphones require the Advanced A/V BT Profile to work which is in the latest BT stack. For the most part this profile is not available in the BT stacks that come with the integrated BT radios or BT dongles.

If the newest stack is available for download then I would say it should be possible.

It wasn't working for me and then I realized that it has to be installed to main memory. Worse yet, it wouldn't let me uninstall it because it is a system application. I had to reinstall to Main and then just delete the folder, which broke no programs since I reinstalled to main.

Hi,
i want to buy this headpone from HP.
Just a question:
Someone has tried to connect this BT headphone with other devices (personal computer or phone nokia 6630) in order to listen to music without wires?
Is it possible or only pairing with IPAQ?
How about the quality of the sound ???

As long as the devices BT stack has the A2DP profile then there should not be a problem. This profile is the Advanced Audio profile the is in the Widcomm BT 4.0 Stack.

I have a problem...I cannot get the next/back/pause buttons to work on my headphones. I am using Windows Media Player 10 like I thought I was supposed to, but it still isn't working. Thanks!

How do you update?
When I try to update this software (hopefully to make the headphones work) I get an error message saying part of the program is running and in ROM and must be shutdown.

I can't figure anyway to shut it down in ROM.

Help.

Ehhh. Actually, the BT headphones were made to work w/ Windows Media Player .. what was the last version.. 9?

EDIT: Actually, HP has released a patch for them. I don't know where I read it and I don't know where to find it. But I'm sure if you really wanted to, you could either find the thread here or the file at HP.

Yea, they are supposed to work with version 9, but I use and prefer 10 in the new rom very much.

Yes. The Ipaq says that \Windows\BtCeAvif.dll is in use or in ROM.

No way to install.

Not sure what to do.
