D-link DBT-120 + iPAQ h3975 = the death of me yet!
::WARNING::

Well... yet another day and I am here poking both my laptop and iPAQ with electric cattle prods! Yes yes.... you all make this look and seem sooooo easy with your nice Bluetooth guide and forum, but nooooo... Spanner has to go to the hard knocks school of Bluetooth!

So... after an hour on the phone with D-Link I finally get my DBT-120 BT dongle working with XP-SP2. Now for the connections! Now I know where to look, so I pull up the Aximsite guide on BT. Here seem to be all my answers, but NO! Now my WiFi goes in and out, Avantgo won't sync right, my internet pass through is giving me problems and asking me all sorts of questions I don't see in the BT Guide!

I will tame this BT beast! I assure you of that, but I am just letting all you iPAQ owners out there that make this look easy that I really really really dispise you all right now! But I do hope you enjoy your 4th of july weekends!

Goooood Mooorning Spanner

Sorry couldn't resist. LOL

I sympathise with you on this one it took me a while to get my networking issues straightened out. I hope you don't obsess over it too much this weekend. You might want to call D-Link back and let them have a whack at the problem again they can probably help you all the way around. I don't know for sure but I'm betting that there is a conflict between your wireless router and the BT radio which is causing the router to act snotty after all it was there first and now you show up with this new toy.... and you know how it goes. I would theaten both with a baseball bat or hockey stick which ever is close at hand and tell them to play nice. (don't let GF see you doing this)

Already talked with D-Link... they said "Change WiFi channels"... isn't that always the answer?!?! And if it does come down to threatening things with "shovels and rakes and implements of destruction" I will be sure to wear my iPAQ Ninja suit so no one sees me.
