What player are you using, I understand the the Pause/Play and Track Skip will only work on Windows Media Mobile.

i found out that problem was just the fact that i hadn't updated the headphone drivers, i got the new drivers and now it works fine

Erm, Have you read the instructions? I am not sure your post is in the correct place but the general proceedure is....

Turn the headset on and into discover mode
Turn on Phone Bluetooth
Search for the device from the phone
Set up the partnership
You may have to enter a code which is normally 0000
