BT error msg
Hi All, I get the following msg when trying to start BT even after the soft reset.
"The Bluetooth radio failed to turn ON due to insufficient driver memory available. You must perform a normal reset before you can turn ON the Bluetooth radio."

This is on an iPaq 2755 and it doesn't happen all the time but enough to be a real nusciance .

After several attempts at troubleshooting I found the following:
I need to make a choice between using any 1 of my 8 today plug-ins options or continue to use the HP ProtectTools.

I turned off all plug-ins and did a soft reset - No issues w/ BT
I disabled device security, did a soft reset and turned on all plug-ins - No issues with BT

While I'm very disappointed with not being able to secure my PDA at least I can use it now.
Anyone else have similar findongs?

-Brian

Hi Brian, I have heard of lots of issues with HP Protect Tools, but this is a new one to add to the list. I read somewhere here this morning, that someone was able to minimize isseus with Protect Tools by turning off file encryption. Have you tried that?

No dice.
I tried several different security configurations.
1. Only trained 2 index fingers.
2. Tried Lite, Blowfish, 3DES & AES encryption.
3. Turned off encryption on all avail. folders
4. Turned off all of the today screen options
5. Using only fingerprint (2 fingers only)
6. Using only simple PIN - w/ AES Encryption on all DIR - THIS WORKED
7. Using only PASSWORD- w/ AES Encryption on all DIR - THIS WORKED
8. Banging my Head Against The $%#^@ing wall

I get the same error after loading Pocket Informant. The bluetooth drivers seem very finicky when playing with other applications.
