Bluetooth connection problem
Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum and to my ipaq hx4700 and have a problem perhaps someone can help me with.

I'm trying to connect my Holux GPSlim236 to my ipaq via bluetooth and I only get so far in the connection wizard. After I tap "New" in the wizard then "Explore a Blutooth Device" in the next page, the following page remains blank - no devices listed at all. My GPS receiver's blutooth light is flashing but I can't go any further with the wizard.

Does anyone help me with my problem? I'd be very grateful for any help!

thanks

Hi nodrogthims. Welcome to the forum. I don't have the same BT GPS as you so I don't know the specifics of it's setup. However, you might want to review this section of Ted's BT tutorial that covers pairing up GPS devices in general.

Bluetooth connection problem
Thanks for the reply swhoutx035. I have read the article you suggested, but the problem I am having is not covered - it assumes that you get a list of devices at the point where I get none and carry on from there.

Can you tell me if I can post this problem in another section of the forums where others are posting bluetooth problems also? I haven't quite found my way around yet.

thanks

Bluetooth connection problem
Hi
I forgot to mention that I enabled bluetooth on my mobile phone, which I hadn't done before, and my ipaq couldn't see that either, so I'm guessing that there may be a problem at the iPaq end - maybe a setting somewhere? - I dunno!

thanks

My problem is solved. I resorted to phoning HP's helpline (who were brilliant) they talked me through a hard reset of my ipaq and hey presto my bluetooth connection was fixed! I'm able to connect to all devices now....oh joy

Hi nodrogthims. I am glad you got the problem resolved. Glad to know you had a good experience with HP support. It's good to hear when people have good experiences instead of only hearing the bad ones.
