File transfer to SD card
This maybe a really stupid question and I maybe overlooking something very very trivial... but...

I tried to transfer a file from a friends PC to my PPC (6365) the other day but I just couldn't find a way to transfer it to the SD card. I even set the 'My Shared Folder' (at Start>Settings>Connections>Bluetooth>Services>File Transfer>Advanced) to Storage Card, but the PC kept on transferring the file to the main memory...

How can I transfer the file to the SD card and what am I missing here?

Thanks in advance.

Through ActiveSync (BTsync style):
My Computer >> Mobile Device >> Open "Storage Card"

drag-and-drop

Direct BT access:
I haven't figured that one out myself.

Hey CookieKid,

Thanks for the quick response. I thought about that option as well but the only hitch was that my friend did not have ActiveSync installed in his computer. And to add to the problem, his internet connection was down at the time and I had no way of downloading ActiveSync either....
So I take it the only option available is to install ActiveSync in the PC and transfer the file right?

Thanks again for the help! Much appreciated...

Cheers!

if you don't wanna install AS on your friend's computer, do as follows:
- grab Card Export and install it: http://www.softick.com/cardexport/
- switch to USB mode from your PPC
- bring your cradle (or sync cable) and hook it to your friend's computer
- your PPC will be recognized as a USB mass storage device. You can access it from "My Computer"

good luck!

Card Export is a really good program, especially now as it supports Samsung processors (RX series).

When you were transfering the file, did you select the file from the PC and chose "send via bluetooth"?

I transfered 200+MB via BT from PC to PPC and I don't have that problem. However, I had to put that file in "Bluetooth Exchange Folder" first. Then, in my PPC, I set the local folder to my SD card, selected that file and chose "Get File".

What you should do is to get the file from the PPC rather than sending it from the PC.
