Logitech Bluetooth Headphones
I recently purchased these headphones from Office Depot. I found them on slickdeals.net for $29.99 AR. They appear to be the same as the HP bluetooth headphones, but they come with a dongle which makes them much more versatile. However, I haven't been able to get them to connect with my rx3115. they work using the dongle, but I was wondering if anyone was able to get them to work directly. Anyone have any ideas on how to get these to work? I would really appreciate it!

I also purchased a similar pair of Logitech headphones and I too have the same question. If you find an answer please let me know.

Mine works well with the dongle, but I'd rather have the headphones hook up direct so I can use the stop, forward and back buttons. that would be a lot more convenient. Any experts out there that would have any ideas?

I don't have an ipaq, but I have used the headphones with an x50v. I'm assuming that you are using wm2003.

Do you have the audio gateway in your bluetooth manager? If you don't have that profile, you should DL the bluetooth update from the HP site.

They are also very finicky about pairing and you have to pair them to the pda before you use the gateway service.

You have to press the center button until the blue lights flash quickly, when you pda finds the headphones, you will be asked for passkey. I don't know if it's necessary, but I entered 0000 and okay.

This took a couple of tries, but once paired, they work. I have not been able to get the next and previous buttons to work, but volume does. I suspect it is because I have not been able to update my BT stack past 1.5. Hope this helps.

Thanks DeeCee52. By the audio Gateway, do you mean the "high quality audio"? I have that as I had downloaded the HP update. However, I can't get the headset to pair with my ipaq. I don't even get to where it asks for a passcode. Any ideas?

Perhaps. I just went through this when I got my replacemnts.

First you have to make the headphones discoverable. Press the center control and watch for the blue light to flash and then rapidly alternate blue and red. If you press continually it will just shut off. So a little finesses is needed here.

Then it will take the pda a little time to find the headphones. On the x50v, I then get a headphone icon with a question mark. If you tap the icon, I get a sub menu that asks if I want to pair them. That is when I put in the pass key. Good Luck.

ps: when aximsite gets back on all fours, there are some good posts over there on updating and pairing.

What version of Windows Mobile do you have? Mine is 2003SE. I'll try to pair them again tomorrow.

Well, I finally got them to pair up! I reinstalled the ROM update to fix a wifi issue and now am able to use the headphones. All of the buttons work also. I can rewind, pause and fast forward in addition to changing volume. I am glad to not have to use the dongle.
