Can I hear the audio-out from my Axim through a BT Radio?
I have been running my Axim X30H as a Navigation system in my truck (iGuidance 3.0). I have a powered mount, without speakers, for the X30. I use a BT GPS and hear the turn by turn instructions over my car stereo via a cassette adapter from the Axim headphone jack. I am thinking about upgrading to a Bluetooth enabled head unit. (Sony Mex-BT5000.) I don't really get what the bluetooth system can and can't do. Can I have my Axim receiving a GPS signal via bluetooth and also send the turn by turn guidance, voice commands to the bluetooth enabled head unit via bluetooth? What about if I toss a bluetooth telephone into the mixture? I hope my question is somewhat clear. Thanks for any help and advice that you can offer.

It seems like Bluetooth becomes hard to implement when using multiple bluetooth devices. Each device may work with it's own bluetooth profile and there is no standard profile.

Quote:
there is no real standard. Sure, there are plenty of phrases that look like standards. Just take a look at this acronym soup:

A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution)
AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control)
BIP (Basic Imaging Profile)
OPP (Object Push Profile)
HSP (Headset profile)
HFP (Hands-free profile)
GOEP (Generic Object Exchange Profile)
Does anyone know where I can find a good source of online help for getting multiple bluetooth devices to work together?

I'm not sure about your idea, but I agree that many BT profiles running at once can make my X51v have seizures....sometimes, not always. Good luck!

I am currently running my Axim X51 and a Sony MEX BT2500.
My Bluetooth GPS will run with the stereo so that I can hear the directions over the stereo.

The problem I am currently having is that the audio from the Axim will "skip" when played over the bluetooth audio. I have been looking through this and other sites that have fixes for this problem.

x30 to Pioneer 9800BT works fine. i added the A2DP HP install from the H5555 (no hack, its just a generic install) to my x30, works about as well as everyone states with their steps. Sounds decent, occasional hiccups.. which would not be great for music, but not so bad for movies and nav. Although, I was concerned that A2DP processing would lag NAV. havent test that tho, its in my wife's car. Actually, I'm pretty sure I was able to pair it before adding A2DP, and it sounded fine in mono with NAV. that would be the way to go (alot less overhead)
