hi, just bought a used x51v and i'm trying to sync with my pc via bluetooth. I have a bluetooth dongle with the bluesoleil program. My activesync version is 4.2. Bluesoleil can see my axim on the control panel but activesync can't detect it. I can do a new partnership between my axim and the computer but the only service i can choose is serial port. There is no activesync service to choose from. I have modified the connection settings in active sync without any good results. I have also tried to disactivate my firewall to see if i was the problem but it did not work. I have an x30 that can sync without any problem via usb. Unfortunately i dont have the usb sync cable yet for my x51v.

can someone help me please!!!!

try this guide from Julie. i have used it several times to help sort out bluetooth sync...

your problem is that BS, AS, and the axim dont have the serial ports all lined up.

AS wants to use COM1 and COM2 (IIRC) bluesoil wants to sue COM7 and COM8, and the Axim wants to use com6.

pair your axim and PC, choose "sync via BT" from the axim. go into bluesuil and see what comport it connected to (I expect com8) then go into AS, connection settings, and choose "allow connections on" and set it to the same com the Axim is using.

Now reboot, pair, and inciate AS from the Axim. it *should* work.
