Aximsitebluetoothicon Replacing Widcomm Bluetooth stack with microsoft

Hi

I am having a problem with one application. I used to work with the DELL Axim x50/x51, which had the microsoft bluetooth stack.

Now Dell does not produce them anymore and I have to switch to iPaq, but iPaq only works with the Broadcom bluetooth stack, which does not work for me; the reason I need to connect to several (3 or 4) bluetooth devices simultaneously. With the Bt stack from microsoft all I did was to create com Ports and assign them to the decvices I want to connect, but with the bradcom bt stack I have to disconnect from one to connect to the other using the BT manager (or at least i don't know how to do it thru software).

I have been looking online for the microsoft BT stack with no luck.

Is there a way to replace the BT stack from broadcom with the one from microsoft? Or is there a way to acomplish this with the broadcom?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

I am not sure about replacing the Broadcom stack, but I have not heard of any solution to do that.

However, I am able to connect to multiple devices by simply holding my stylus on each shortcut, and pressing connect for each. Works like a charm.

I can connect to one of the serial devices, but when i try to connect to a second device I get the following error message :

"Unable to create a Bluetooth connection at this time. Please make sure no other serial connection is established and/or service discovery is not being performed at this moment and try again."

How do you do it?

Oh, I haven't tried using two serial devices before. I think I tried my cell phone, GPS, and bluetooth headset at the same time.

I'm not sure, but cell phones might use serial. May I ask what devices you are trying to use?

I can connect my Axim to my GPS using serial 8 (widcomm) outgoing connection; serial 7 incoming- connected to my Ipaq serial 6(widcomm also) for sharing GPS signals to two ppc's; GGtel bluetooth headset to the Axim using HFP/HSP; and my Motorola phone to my Axim using DUN, all at the same time. There's no issue using multiple devices with the widcomm stack.

There's only one advantage of the MS stack though. I found out that you can use up to two outgoing serial bluetooth connections at the same time. Example, you can connect two different bluetooth GPS devices at the same time for different applications. I'm not aware of bluetooth phones that are using serial connection to initiate dial-up networking. But if that is your case then you really need the MS stack. See if you can find a DUN profile from your phone.
