I've replaced my x51v five times already because the earphone jacks keep failing from repeated use. I just know that Dell will one day stop replacing my PPC. Before I ruin yet another jack, I want to go bluetooth.

1. I need to be able to wear earbuds only. Over-ear headphones stick out too much for my needs.

2. The earbuds must be replaceable. I wear out earbuds like crazy.

3. Microphone isn't necessary.

4. I must be able to stream radio broadcasts over wifi while simultaneously listening to said broadcast over bluetooth earbuds. This isn't a problem to begin with, right?

Hardware-wise something like the Jabra BT320s (which I have) will tick all your boxes.

You may need to get the a2dp profile on your axim though... have a look at the broadcom bt threads.

Can I plug in standard everyday earbuds into the Jabra? If so, does it come with its own earbuds as well? I'm looking at one on Amazon, but can't quite tell from the pictures whether the earbuds are permanently attached to the Jabra or if they're even included with the unit.

It comes with its own set of earbuds, which connect using a standard headphone socket. So you can plug anything you like into it.

Battery life is about 5 hours when connected in stero mode, or ages lf in phone mode.

The only annoying thing is it doesn't have a mini usb charger.
