Anyone been able to pair a Plantronics BUA-100 dongle to their axim or other device?

For kicks I've been trying to see if I can use a BUA-100 Bluetooth dongle that came with a BT headset I got to pair with my Axim. On my XP laptop, my Axim can "see" the device but can't yet pair with it as it complains there are no services offered that are available. It asks for a passkey, which I believe is hardcoded into the headset so it automatically connects, but if possible I'd like to pair my X51v.

Is this possible, or am I out of luck?

Hum, this probably won't be good news for you if what I am thinking is true, but...

According to various places on the web and Plantronics' page for the BUA-100
Plantronics )) Plantronics® BUA-100 Bluetooth® USB Adapter, the adapter is always listed as "BT USB Adapter for Headsets". The product page and user guide (and FAQ for that matter) all only reference the adapters' use with a BT headset and inclusion of just the Headset profile. ...In short, I believe that with whatever Plantronics has provided out-of-the-box, you'll only be able to connect headsets with the adapter, nothing else.

I'm not sure why they would do that and restrict all other profiles, but perhaps it's meant for VoIP applications and is thus refined towards that purpose. Maybe you can find another WIDCOMM/BROADCOMM/BT software that can utilize other profiles, but I would have no idea about how to do that.
