Recommend me a bluetooth headset!
i apologize if this is a "not one of these again" thread..but i've always received such great advice from these forums.

just fyi- I don't understand all the technical bluetooth stuff. But i can get things paired etc..ok.

My uses (in order of importance):
-Replace my wired headset for my samsung u740 dual flip phone

-pair it with my PC to enable use with skype (i have a BT dongle).

-pair it to my dell axim x30 so i can hear the tomtom 6 instructions better (and to avoid disturbing friends in the car if they're sleeping..for example).

-Using it with my axim for pocket skype would be nice..but is not a main priority

Those are my uses. I wanted something good; so i was in the hunt for an aliph jawbone because of the rave reviews...but aliph tells me it will not work for VOIP & only will with my phone. Also, others have said the reviews are alot of hype & many say it is not much better than average.

Smaller is always better; but voice clarity & sound are more important to me.

While I want something good; at the same time, i hope to find it discounted- either on sale or even something a bit older on ebay or craigslist..as long as it's tried & true.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

How do you think of this Plantronics Explorer 330 Bluetooth Headset? I just got it for my phone last week, works fine for me so far. it is easy to use and incorporates all call features like volume, answer/end call, last-number redial, and voice-activated dialing, into one single button, maybe you can have a try.

I would buy a Jabra & one where the ear piece goes into your ear. Rather than just sit on the outside. I have Motorola HS850 it just sits on the outside & sometimes while driving it can be difficult to hear.
