I can use PhoneWeaver to launch an app on a headset/headphone profile, but Is the a more descriminating method that will launch upon a device connection or specific profile?

i would consider pocketmax phonealarm, as it has the ability to call user defined apps in different ways/different times/different connections

I second that!

I evaluated an array of software of this ilk in last year's Pocket PC & Smartphone Software Awards and I found Phone Alarm to offer the richest breadth of options. I've used Phone Alarm ever since then and it really is one of my core apps on my hw6925.
