Programming for WM03
I've been playing around in programming for a few years now, mostly using VBA and LISP to customize the software I use at work (Access & Autocad). I'd like to try to do something on my axim, but I'm not really sure where to start. I'm totally self-taught in this area, so I'm not even sure what the right questions to ask are

I do know that I'm going to need a complier and developement program to start with. Do I have options? Where do I find them? Are any free? Any good websites that can help me get started?

Thanks for your help.

NSBasic ain't free but it ain't too expensive either - and it's really slick. If you're used to VBA (VBScript) you will be right at home.

$150 not too expensive? I can get a nice video card for that much cash. If they would drop the price to say ~40 I might register.

Now c++ is the way to go on ppc. Just has a bit of a learning curve and it's free (as all programming tools should be).

Nah, $150 ain't expensive - at least not if you're planning to buy it for an application to sell. If you're just hobbying ... then yeah, maybe so. Whatever works for you d00d.

use eMbedded Visual Basic....if you know VBA, then you're all set! it's completely free on the microsoft website!!

to use it, you need the runtimes for your ppc: click here

and the IDE/compiler for your desktop: click here

note: the site says that these progs won't work on WM2005, but that's not true - i wrote a program and one of my beta testers said that it works fine!

there are plently of great books out there to help you out! PM me if you want some suggestions!

Have fun!!

EDIT: eMbedded Visual Tools comes with both eVB and eC++
