MSN Messenger
Hello everyone, i've been thinking of getting the Blackjack for a while, one thing that really concerns me though is MSN messenger. I looked everywhere for an answer and couldn't find one. I read that it comes with MSN messenger, except when send and receiving messages, it's counted as texting. So i'm wondering if i get the phone with the Data Plan for Smartphones from Cingular, WITHOUT having a texting plan (not a texting fan ), will i be able to use MSN as a regular software or will i be charged on every single message?

Please let me know cause i wana get the phone already!

Thanks in advance

I was told by an AT&T rep that the Blackjack is considered a PDA. You can't get the smart phone plan with it. I really wanted one too. The PDA plan is too much for me.

they also won't sell you one on anything but a unlimited plan for the first month. I guess they had too many people going over their data limits and running up big bills

I've had a blackjack with the generic media max plan for nearly a year.

You can get a 3rd party product, called Mundu, that will let you do MSN using data only, without texts.

I've got Mundu yesterday for my BJ - works nice. Very happy with that.
Before I tryed to use buildin IM - it asked me download and install it. But I never managed to get it working. Probably because I don't have any Cingular data plan. I am in New Zealand.
