Cingular Blackjack - Video 1st Look

With the <a href="http://www.mobilitysite.com/2006/11/cingular_release_the_samsung_blackjack.php" target="_blank"><font color="#000080"><strong>announcement</strong></font></a> of the <a class="technorati" href="http://technorati.com/tag/cingular blackjack" rel="tag">Cingular Blackjack</a> (<a class="technorati" href="http://technorati.com/tag/samsung sgh-i607" rel="tag">Samsung SGH-i607</a>) Monday via webcast, Cingular completed it's 1st Windows Mobile sweep of HSDPA devices. One Smartphone and One Pocket PC phone. I am happy now. I had the chance to do some 3G speeding in Birmingham Alabama when I was visiting my parents, but no 3G here yet...

The Cingular Blackjack is very similar to the <a href="http://www.mobilitysite.com/articles/link.php?id=369" target="_blank">Samsung SGH-i320</a> we reviewed last month, but better with 3G and Quad Band. After the jump, I have a few more photos of the Blackjack and you can view all I uploaded by visiting the <a href="http://www.mobilitysite.com/photos//showphoto.php/photo/503/cat/526" target="_blank">Mobility Site Gallery</a>.

If I can get the numbers right, 8525 is the same as my Orange SPV M3100. I can say it's a fantastic phone. However the Blackjack is a sleek looking phone too. I would go for the 8525 if I were you and I'm not saying this because I'm using the phone. It has a bigger keyboard and a bigger screen. Then again, the Blackjack just looks too good.

Chris, you need to take better care of your fingernails. The damn unboxings always come to an awkward halt when you get to the protective cover on the screen!

Hey! I can hear the cellular interference with your audio transducer, too!! HA HA!

It looks so nice! My friend just got a Q and I was looking to see what Cingular offered that was similar. I like that the 8525 has Wifi but it's too big for my taste.

that's an awesome video. I don't know why but I always like to see the unboxing of new gadgets. It's almost like I'm living thru you and unboxing my own BlackJack. The screen on the BlackJack looks absolutely amazing!

Exclamation

Reponse to Mindflayer: why would you choose between the blackjack and the 8125? Why even in the same question? The Blackjack has a style on its own, while the 8125 is just a copy renamed version of an HTC.:crooked: P.S.:Thanks you Chris for the Video and contest!:)
