OK this may seem like an odd offer but I need a bluetooth GPS for work reasons and between the Christmas Season and my Ex, cash is in short supply. What I do have is an Aimpoint Laserdot II Rifle/Pistol laser sight in mint condition. I won this sight as a prize at a Armed Forces Skeet Tournement a few years back and since I had no use for it, it has NEVER been mounted on a weapon. Included is all the original packaging. mounts, adjustment tool, press switch and instructions. The packaging is a bit worn from storage and transportation. Original cost of this item was over $200.00. Like I said, a bit of a strange offer but if there is a shooter out there that just happens to have an extra Bluetooth GPS, this could be the perfect swap.

OK, I'm a little intriqued. I do have a BT GPS (GlobalSat BT308).
Now is this a red dot or laser? By that I mean does the dot show only in the viewing piece or does it project to the target (you probably already knew what I meant though). I have been looking for something that I can use with my shotgun for deer hunting and with my 357 for deer and targets. I need quick-aquisition with a wide field-of-view. Something that's not too heavy either. I did a Google on Aimpoint Laserdot II and I see there are several Aimpoint models but could not find the Laserdot II model.

The Laserdot II is a laser sight, meaning it projects the laser onto the target. You will have a wide field of view, however, I wouldn't recommend it for hunting for two reasons. First, in some states laser sights are banned for deer hunting because they project a light (the laser) onto the target and thusly fall under the same laws that prevent spotlighting deer. Second, in bright conditions at distances over 50 yards the small dot would be hard to see on the target. This sight is a great sight for target shooting, a home defense gun, or some other similar application. Aimpoint stopped making laser sights a few years back because they were not able to keep up with the lower prices of competitors and refused to make a lower quality unit. If you are still interested I can post a digital picture and the specs. Just have to take time to do it. Just let me know. Thanks for the interest.

I use a 870 wingmaster with a hastings barrel and either a super full turkey choke, a cylinder choke(Buckshot) or a rifled choke with sabots. The aimpoint is mounted on a "saddle" mount. The guns has a parkerized finish I did myself in a Marine Corps armory(good to have connections) and synthetic black stock. Looks good, and shoots great.
