Axim x51v & EXTRAS For Sale
Asking $360 for all. Paid over $400 for the lot. Would like $360 or best offer. Shipping is $35.00 for USPS Priority Mail. If you pay the $360, shipping will be free.
200+ Days left on Warranty
Upgraded to ROM 06 with no problems.
Great Shape. Just decided to go back to Palm because the Grading program used in our school is not, nor will it be, compatible with PPC. Stinks.
2 AC Adapters
1 Sync/Charge Cable
1 Cradle
Dell CD and Docs
Dell Stock Slip-case
New Innopocket Magnesium Case
Again, this works and looks GREAT. I'd like to use it, but just can't justify using it when we're going with Palm. Maybe someday.
Anyway, I have it listed on Ebay. I am PayPal verified and have a 100% feedback of 104 transactions.
E-mail if you are interested. ken_penfield "at" fc.mauston.k12.wi.us

Re: Shipping
Yikes??
This is for Priority Shipping with Insurance for $400. Where else will you get that??
Keep your opinions to yourself. If you'd have read the full post...shipping is FREE if the $360 is FREE.
Look on Ebay to see how much people are charging for shipping costs. The avg. for this item is $28.00 and that is standard ground shipping.

Even if you can get it cheaper from Dell we should respect sellers by not flaming. If you don't feel it's a good deal then don't respond, or PM them and tell them privately. One day you may be a seller and you certainly won't appreciate anyone saying anything negative in your thread. Moreover, we certainly don't want Chris to remove our posting privileges in the classifieds like he did awhile back due to flaming.
Lets all be friendly and helpful.:approve:

Dearest Cricmate and Parisi....
I agree with Stevenator.
I shouldn't have responded so sharply either. But, I would like to challenge the "critics" to add up the price for the Axim, Extra AC Adapter, Extra Sync Cable, and Magnesium Case...and find it cheaper than $360 WITH shipping @ Priority USPS and Insurance to cover $400.
If Dell can beat that, then the "Critics" should buy one from them with Current Prices as of 10:52 P.M. Dell Home 2/17/2006.
New Dell Axim x51v = $448 (After 25% off)
Innopocket Case = $39
Travel Sync Cable = $15
AC Adapter = $15
Estim. Tax @ 5.5% = $25 (I won't be charging Tax)
2nd Business Day w/o Insurance = $12.00
Flaming Critics Eating Crow = PRICELESS
So...go buy the Dell.

I think i can see why i stay away from eBay, you are just not nice at all and a bit arrogant, no offense.
My "yikes" comment was simply a hint that $35 is a little steep considering a sold my x50v a couple of a weeks ago around here with twice as much stuff you have listed and it cost me roughly $10 (Yes, USPS Priority)
Sounds like somebody is just trying to make a couple of a bucks here, no offense.
I do not know about the other comment tho, you might be referring to the other guy, i just know your reply was as much uncalled for as his.
The guy guy could be talking about this:

Fair Enough.
The $35 is standard shipping cost when I ship from Ebay for USPS Priority. That covers the Ebay fees, Shipping, and PayPal fees for transactions.
My "retort" was aimed more at Cricmate.
I followed your link and it's a good deal. I did see that another x51v is being sold for $300 on this site as well. I said I'd like to get $360 OBO. If I can't get that I'll just keep it.
As for arrogant, well, I'd like to think differently. I just dislike people who feel that they need to flame out on a simple ad. My response was just as "hot" and should have been left alone as well. But..I've always felt the need to end an argument before it gets started.
Dell must be gearing up for a new model, or they are phasing it out. Too bad. It's a good handheld and a better deal than Palm. But, our grading program will not work on PPC...there are a few other options out there that work, but lack in reporting. SO, it's a double-edged sword.
Good Luck, and I'll tone it down. Flame-wars go both ways.

Hey no problem mate, only trying to give you some healthy helpful advice, by stating you are charging $35 for ship might give one a bad impression (in my case it did) thus why i stay away from eBay often, the other thread you saw for $300 might be the one unit i just purchased and we (me and the seller) split ship 50/50, i wish you a honest good luck with your sale.
:)

KJPenny, have you looked at StyleTap? It allows you to run many/most Palm OS apps on PPC. Just a thought.

Sold....
StyleTap won't work on the application we use. :-(
The Axim was sold for $360 & $35 Shipping on Ebay last week. I just haven't had time to look back on here.
Decided to go with a Tablet PC instead. More expensive, but more workable features. Just not as portable as a handheld.
If Dell keeps a handheld and/or goes to WinXP, etc. on one, I'll make the switch back....just not until I can edit a "true MS Word" document...and run our school software on it.
