2.2gb CF MicroDrive

I have a 2.2 gb Magicstor CFII Microdrive i harvested out of a USB device i am selling on ebay.

Does anyone know if the X51 can read and write to them? It's Compact Flash II form and is labeled ata/ide.

Sorry, no Ebay sales unless the following conditions are met.

The Axim X51/X51v can read/write with any CFII drive. I have a Seagate 8G CFII Microdrive that it instantly recognized, formatted and uses just fine - great for storing MP3's!

How does your seagate drive affect your battery life?

I used to use a IBM 1Gb Microdrive with my X50 and the battery life was OK< but it was definitely a little bit better with a regular CF card. I would say probably 5-10 mins off the battery life if using the CF card all the time, including for running programs and stuff

The 2.2GB MagicStor has known consistency problems. It may work, it may not. Also, coming from a small portable storage container, it is OEM and may not work through a standard CF interface; that is, it may use an IDE interface and be unreadable on any PDA.

Edit: I saw the ebay item. Picture clearly shows "ATA/IDE", which means that it's not going to work in an Axim.
