FS/FT: Original Dell cradle with VGA and serial RS232

FS/FT

I have built myself this cradle but, if you want one and you don't have the electronic skills I can build one for you.:approve:
The cradle is the original Dell cradle and I have added the VGA and the serial RS232 (with max232) outputs. If you are interested just let me know!

FS = 50 $

And if you want to send me the cradle to add the outputs PM me.

So, are you selling this cradle or not?
Are you asking people to send you their cradles for modification?
How much does this cost? What time frame are we looking at? Shipping rates?
I believe you disregarded every rule in the classifieds forums :)
Please read the sticky before posting :)

If I have to buy myself a cradle, I have to pay about 25$ for one (4-5$ for the cradle and 20 $ for shipping to Montreal). For the electronics and connectors I have to pay 10-15 $ too. And is going to take me like 2 hours of work. At the end, is not really a good business.

I much prefer people to send me their cradle for modification. I will charge 30$ for modifications. The shipping will depend on the distance but, I don't think that is going to be more than 15-20$ max for both ways.

Here are some pictures with the cradle connected to a projector. I have been testing the serial connection by using a serial (mouse) GPS, a stepper controller and an OBD2 interface for the car. Everything is working like a charm!!!

Yes. I have used the information from Afarre's posts:
http://www.aximsite.com/boards/x50-x...-must-see.html

The materials I can buy them from ebay.

yup, that's him! he did a great job on that too! May i suggest a option? Figure out how many people it would take make a cheaper price and start with that. Its best to get people to vouch for you work. i have to read the rules on group buys though.
