WTS: Axim x51v + cases, 4 batteries - $100

WTS Axim x51v (Windows Mobile 6.1 stable and patched OS ROM)
1x Axim x51v (with screen protector)
1x black leather case
1x Sena blue and black case (extended battery fit)
1x very strong plastic case
1x plain foam + some cheap material case
1x cradle + power adapter
2x 2200 batteries + extended fit battery door
2x 1100 batteries + regular fit battery door
1x AA battery charger
1x set of manuals

I'll take $100 for everything shipped. I will sell all but the Sena case and all but one 2200 batteries separately (PM me with offers - include your price!!!).

The unit works fine except for a few very very minor scratches on buttons (none on the screen) and headphone jack malfunctions (loses signal), BUT I FIXED IT by sticking a small piece of foil in it and now no lost signal! The jack works but not flawlessly. Foil inside the hack makes the unit thinks that headphones are plugged in and it disables unit's speakers. You have to tinker with it (sharp object) to get it work how you want it.

Another problem found: I found a point on a screen that is heavily misaligned. If you put stylus there then it will actually draw a an odd looking triangle all around the point...
The latch problem re-occurred again and I had to ghetto fix it by adding some tape on the battery door notch (the one that touches the sensor).

I can provide pictures if needed.

EDIT: I FIXED headphone jack by sticking a small piece of foil in it and now no lost signal! The headphone jack works perfectly now!

Hi MonarchX,
Couple of questions: How good are the batteries and have you tried to fix the headphone jack?
Thanks,
Mark

If I listen to music 2-3 hours per day then 2200 battery usually lasts 4 days before it needs some charge, but at the same time I never let battery go below 30%, so its even longer. I do use lowest brightness setting though. Overall battery is not the issue. The headphone jack I do not wish to fix as it would require opening up the unit. You pretty much have to push the headphone in and then hold it to the left or the right to hear from both sides, otherwise you only hear sound from left headphone. That mean the hole/jack is just loose and not touching the input all around. I have no idea if I can fix it, but I could add a set of tiny screw drivers designed just for this unit if you want to try it yourself. The jack issue is the reason I drove the price down to $100 or else it'd be a perfectly functional unit.

I'm going to take one of my x51v's apart this afternoon and see if I want to try fixing or replacing the jack. I'll let you know after I take a look.

I'm going to pass. I don't want to risk the money and find out the jack has to be replaced. It's easy to get to but looks like a big deal to replace it if that's what it needs.
Thanks anyways,
Mark

Benchmark the batteries

Can you benchmark your battery with abcpowermeter and let me know how much it has left from full charge to full drain?

I'm also interested in the BT keyboard. Thanks!

I am doing it right now. I simply launched the program and there are no settings or anything. Do I just let it sit there until battery goes out? Will it record the time when it quits/shuts down? Anything else I need to know?

I'm not going to sell just the batteries or the cases. Its all going together.

GPS + Keyboard - SOLD.

Yeah, make sure it's charged and then let it go until it's drained and shuts off. When you plug it in again, go back to the program and see what the total mAH is. It can run in the background as well. It graphs how much consumption is used so it doesn't really matter if you drain it fast or slow. It'll accumulate the total amount of juice that is used and that's the more useful bit of information.

Argh... I'm too slow on the BT keyboard!

What is the fastest way to drain it? Play a video? I don't have an SD card big enough for that...any other method? Music doesn't drain it much...

When I benchmarked my batteries I just played a video on loop, highest brightness, loudest volume, had BT and wifi on (with power saving off) and then forced it to 624Mhz. Didn't take that long to drain :)
