Re-read my posts. I tried to get people to back off of him and give him a chance, I wasn't trying to support him. I'll be the first to say I was wrong on this one (although this situation is odd because he didn't 100% scam him, he did send an axim), but I'd rather be generally nice to people and let them get along here than to be a complete a$$hole to everyone that tries to contribute to our forum, as I know many people did BEFORE they had evidence against him. THen, many people who had absolutely nothing to do with the thread came in and completely attacked him, using language they could be banned for. It was completely out of line.

edit: For the record, pxpx getting his money back was largely my doing, as I sent CUAT, STEEDA, or whatever his name was a PM explaining to him what legal action I/we would take if he did not refund the money. He refunded it shortly thereafter.

I was referring to the initial transaction, not the one with joshua.

This is a very interesting story...

I have been doing business with Travis for about 3 years now. He is a great motocross rider and has a bright future in that venue. I cannot see him doing anything like this. I talked with him last Wednesday when he called in an order. And we got to talking and the subject of PayPal came up ( I was telling him a little horror story we had with a customer using it) and he told me about this website and what had happened to him. From what I hear and what I have read here today it looks more or less like a misunderstanding. Is the item sold and the item recieved similar to one another? I mean things can happen! If anyone is out to just make money scamming people they would not be sending actual products by any means, that just wouldn't make sense...

Anyways, from what Travis told me he was pretty much harrassed from the get go - and I would agree from the readings, and I can guarantee this was not done deliberately, he is not that kind of kid at all.

I am speaking form past relationships with Travis and his Father, who was a great friend of mine. Travis has a good head on his shoulders and has quite a little business going for himself. I have nothing but good things to say, and I hate to see these words tossed around about him.

Update

Travis Welty AKA CUAT150, Steeda and SVTStang03 (and maybe others) has sent an X3 (not x30 as agreed upon) to joshuajg and joshuajg paid for it with a money order COD. We were attempting to allow this matter to be resolved between themselves, but Travis Welty refuses to refund the money without "all the contents" being included. Joshua states that some of the contents Travis claims were shipped were not there, so this seems to be at a standstill. In addition, I have gotten emails from Travis stating that Joshua has not replied lately. No legal charges or inquiries have been made yet, but time is drawing nearer.

A couple of days ago, SanoSystems signs up for an account, posts a post defending Travis Welty (from the same IP address) and PMs at least one member offering an Axim for sale. I immediately banned the user and blocked the IP. This morning I get this email:

Quote:
To whomever this may concern:

My name is Mike Anotti. I signed up to your website yesterday afternoon (Username - SanoSystems) and made (1) one single post. I come back to check the status of my post and the "User IP" has been banned. I know exactly why you did so - and the reasoning for this more than clear.

I make one post defending my personal and business friend, and you didn't like it. This is by all means no ground for banning my IP Address. I am expecting my account to be re-instated within the next 24 hours or further harassment claims will be made on my behalf as well as Travis'. Travis has sent copies of all | Travis-Aximsite, Travis-Chris Leckness, Travis-Joshua's | communications.

WHOis Data for the domain Aximsite.com has also been recorded. Please just make this simple for the both of us. Banning me from your website was uncalled for and totally illegitimate.

I look forward to checking the status of my post VIA the username I registered within 24 hours.

Regards,

Mike Anotti

Pretty Funny if you ask me.

This info is being provided to provide a heads up to the members of Aximsite. Thanks

quick question: isnt this site privately owned, so basically you can refuse service to anyone, theoretically speaking?

Yes, you are correct. If I did not like the way he looked, I could legally delete the account.

James,
The email came from a hotmail account. The Sanosystems username was registered with the email address wdracing@___.com (free webmail) or something like that. There was another user id sanosys registered with the same hotmail account, but they forgot to validate.
