WTB: Dell Axim x50v shipped to the Philippines
hi guys. im a long-time PalmOS PDA user & very active at 5 palmOS forums. my PDA history:

palm m105->palm m505->clié n760->clié t665->palm zire71->palm tungstenT3

i would like to shift to pocketPC bec. of the ff.:

1) VGA-resolution
2) built-in wifi
3) external / replaceable battery

unfortunately, dell PDA's are not sold in the philippines(phil.). ive looked online & even on ebay but i cant find a dell axim seller who:

1) ships to the phil.
2) accepts credit card payment

i dont & cant create a paypal account bec. my country isnt included . i can actually pay cash but dont know of a way to transact online using cash or bank transfer. i have a valid citibank VISA credit card. my budget is around $500.

I would think that someone would be able to help you with this, but at a $500 budget, that's roughly the going price of a new unit without considering shipping or even the handling charges of someone that would be an intermediary for you.

So you've called Dell and they're unwilling to ship, even with a credit card? That seems odd to me.

Its like that with most electronics to the Philipines because of the massive credit card fraud that goes on there. Apparently a big thing to do there is to order something, insist on paying by credit card, pay, receive the item, then call the credit card and cancel the transaction (claiming that it was fraud). So they get their money back and also get to keep seller's item and the seller is out of luck. It happens so often there that Paypal won't deal with the Phillipines and neither will most other people because there's really no way to protect yourself with a credit card payment.
