Are you aware of the limitations that Verizon has imposed on BT use? From what I have read in the past, Verizon has locked most BT features (including Internet access) except headset use. You might want to reconsider your options if this is still the case (hopefully, things have changed). :)

Thanks, Gigi,

I am aware of the limitations, however, I believe there are software tweaks you can do to enable some BT functions.

u dont need to worry about any of the "crippled" features. For the most part, you can use Bluetooth...the only major drawback is sending files back and to the phone via bluetooth (pictures, videos, music, etc...) this is supposedly to protect its customers... who knows....but the v710 works great as a bluetooth modem...i use it all the time...and as far as a headset you cant go wrong with a sony ericson hbh-300....anyways the V710 is the best phone i have ever had as well as the best reception of any phone i have ever used...

i would definately recommend it! :approve:

I also have the Motorola V710 but I had trouble pairing up my X50v with the V710 so I purchased a Gomadic cable to link them. My question is: How did you get them to work together? I have tried the Bluetooth forum in this sight but I must be slow. LOL Is there another way of getting this pairning accomplished, or should I try it again?

Thanks
John

I have been using my v710 and x30 to check email and browse the internet when away from home. Pairing was easy and the dialing setup string is easy (found at www.v710.org).

I am not concerned about transfering PIM, pictures and video via BT, but it would be nice if they enabled it.
