It seems a bit late for Dell to be coming into the market for this. Palm, Samsung, Apple, etc. already have stuff on the market. It just seems like poor timing. However, if they do make it, I'd me intrested in looking into it.
I don't know what is waiting Dell to show a new device if really they are preparing an Phone Edition of that. If they wait more, the rest of the companies are going to eat all the market.
the iphone cant "pwn" anything, its not even better than devices avalible from last year except for the multitouch. the N95 slaughers it. even my crappy Qtek S200 has more features and abilities. and i got it like 1.2 years ago.
theres a rumor that HTC will release a device capable of running windows Vista FULL Areo theme.
oh and BTW, the iphone is first party only for software, no 3rd party support = useless garbage

It wasn't hardware that made the ipod a success. there were other players with better spec out there. It was iTunes that shot everyone else out of the water. iServices will be what makes or breaks the iPhone.
And so far Apple have kept a very quiet lid on that.
Nokia have a similar opinion, which is why they are pushing their new widgets , but they may be playing catch up,

Excellent analysis. :approve:
Baby Jogga has the iPOD Nano and it is nowhere near as good as the Zen V (in fact I think it's rubbish; far too fragile) - but the iTunes Store was used (for the first time) yesterday. Excellent search and download facilities and significantly cheaper than buying CDs.

Definitely true, form factor/ styling is what sells ipod, and interface ease of use! Although they are adding new features which are sell prompts, there is a function now, only recent/Beta "Just for you". It remembers what you have purchased before and prompts you to sample similair product. A marketing trap in my opinion.

Apple doesn't sell their phone until june, but most of the dell phone rumors point to may.
