Thanks, but I already have it, been using it a long time. I posted to try to help someone else get it. I agree it's worth the money if you want to buy it, It's a very good reader.

I used to be the same way. One day I just tried uBook, and I have never looked back. I like reading on it just as well as iSilo, and if you carry around a lot of books, just the convenience of not having to convert from RTF or HTML to some internal format made it worth changing for me.

If you download a lot of books from the internet, it really is a huge time saver.

I'm trying uBook at the moment and now that I've (somewhat) gotten the hang of the navigation system I only have one question.

Anyone know how to use uBook NOT in fullscreen mode? I know most people prefer not seeing the menu bar at the top when reading, but not me. I'd love to have it in "standard WM display mode".

Thanks!

It depends on what skin you are using. Most skins have a "+" and "-" sign, usually somewhere in the upper-right corner of the screen. Some skins have up and down arrows. This toggles the full-screen mode.

I believe the default "BookStart" skin has up and down arrows in the upper-left corner.

Thanks, Moe. I downloaded and am using the Grey Paper skin. I'll have to go hunting for the buttons.

Thanks again!

The Grey Paper skin has three little dots in the bottom-right corner. If you tap on those dots, a menu pops up with the "+/-" signs at the top of the menu. That's your full-screen toggle.

Wonderful! I'm now sold on uBook!

Time to forego the remainder of my trial and plunk down my $$ for it.

Too bad it won't read purchased (protected) ebooks, though.

No, it doesn't read DRM'd books, but there are always ways around that.... :)

eReader can read it's own format (unencrypted and encrypted/DRM'd) and can also read "plain" palm/doc files.

Holy crap, ubook is awesome!

Thanks for the tip, I never tried it before. I don't think I need another reader besides this one.

Question

OK ... does uBook work with WM 5 or not? I am a lover of eReader and know it does not work with WM 5 and eReader has no idea of any timeline for a version that will but are working on it.

I've enjoyed the MSReader because you can use it in the landscape mode with my x51v. My favorite ebook site is www.fictionwise.com. Microsoft has a good ebook site and links to most of the common ebook retailers as well :approve:
