I have recently had my Dell Axim X51v exchanged after having the 'battery door' problem and also issues with my SD & CF cards 'dropping out' of the file system.
The SD card issue is still present despite upgrading to A06.
This manifests itself most when reading ebooks I have installed on the SD card. Every so often I get the message 'Microsoft Reader is no longer able to access the book' and have to go back to the library and then re-enter the book to get it to read it again. I then read on for another 50 pages or so before it does the same thing again.
Speaking with Dell Tech support tonight, they said that this was because MSReader is not compatible with WM5. They suggested that I should try a WM5 compatible reader.
I have two questions:
1. Is there a problem with MSReader and WM5?
2. Are there any other readers out there, preferably free, that can read LIT files (I have a lot of LIT ebooks, mainly not DRM protected but I do have a couple of DRM protected books as well).

This is not a problem just on WM5. It also happenes on Wm2003. I use reader all the time, and the solution is to copy the book you are currently reading to the My Documents folder in flash. Reader also benefits greatly from being forced into VGA using a .MUI file made by Tweaks2k2.net or a similar method.

Can you tell the detail how MsReader benefit from TWEAKS2k2? I used it to apply high-res patch and nothing changed. It worked on other applications such as PDF reader and MS Street and Trips.

It isn't as drastic as other programs, becuase reader is already partially vga aware. When you give it the vga patch you should notice the splash-screen graphics looks better without pixel doubling. Also book artwook looks better. The encarta dictionary has some problems that go away with the patch in place.
