Hello everyone..i'm looking for an English-English dictionary
I prefer that it will be a freeware but if not than...not
An important thing is that it has to run on WM5, because i've tried the WordNet dictionery but it won't run on my axim 51v with the WM5.
Thanks

Maybe it's American English to Brittish English. There are some differences. I think.

Mdict will allow you to load Wordnet in WM5. It's freeware.

You can access the webster dictionary via e-sword (is a bible reader that offers the webster absolutely free). You don not have to download any bibles if you do not want to. (

I use the SlovoEd English-English dictionary. I find it brilliant. It also has synonyms (thesaurus), etc. It's not free and I can't personally guarantee it will work on X51, but it is definitely worth looking at.
I rarely looked up a dictionary before, although I have many, but having in this in my pocket means I often check on unusual words.
Just for information a dictionary and a thesaurus are different. A dictionary explains what a word means, sometimes giving examples of sentences to help illustrate the meaning and the context in which it can be used. A thesaurus gives synonyms, or words with the same or similar meaning. The thesaurus is good for crossword puzzles.

Americans remember: Fag = cigarette in England, and chips = fries, crisps = chips. The rest is easy.
