PDB Reader?

I have a lot of PDB's and I've been using eReader to view them but it's taking longer and longer the more PDB's I have and it's getting annoying now.

So can anyone recommend an alternative?

I tried ubook but when I opened the file with the PDB's in it wasn't recognising them.

Thanks

Rev

Hi, thanks for the reply. Just tried mobipocket but whenever I tried to open a PDB it said it was corrupt. Tried iSilo too, that opened them but they were unreadable, just lines of symbols with the odd letter thrown in.

Are there any more? Or does anyone have any idea why uBook doesn't see the PDB's and Mobipocket tells me they're corrupt?

They're all PDB's I've made myself using Palm Ebook Studio.

Well, you can always use dropbook to convert them to .txt, and convert them to whatever you like. Microsoft has a .LIT creator (if you have Word), and Mobipocket can convert them to .PRC for it's reader. Ubook can read .txt files as well. There used to be a free version (lite) of ereader pro that will read those .PDB files as is, but I wasn't too fond of it. I personally converted everything to Mobipocket for all my ebooks (it converts too), as well as use it for RSS feeds (it downloads the entire article, which I like) and it's free.

Yes; wasn't that impressed w/ it. I guess my problem is that I don't want 40 different readers on my Axim. I can deal w/ one or two (MS .lit & Mobipocket)

I don't understand the problem you're having. You don't have to store all your eBooks on the device at the same time. I use eReader Pro with quite a few eBooks and haven't noticed any speed issues on my X50v (now a X51v).

That said, if MobiPocket could convert eReader's .PDB file format I'd use that instead for the RSS feeds and overall greater flexability of MobiPocket. If MobiPocket can't convert my PDB eBooks (which I think it can't due to copyright?), I'll just stick with eReader.

Have you tried HaaliReader? Use it myself for PDB-files and it's a great freeware app!

No, haven't tried that but I'll stick with eReader Pro until I can find something that does .PDB and RSS files.
