ebook converter

Is there anything that will allow you to convert the format of ebooks. Right now, I have three ebook readers on my Axim (Mobipocket, Adobe and MS). And there are several others that would be useful. I like e-books, but it is just too hard with all of the different formats. I would like to be able to get rid of all but one reader. Is there something that can do this for me??

I don't know if there are an easy way.

But what I do is converting the ebooks to plain text or HTML and then generate a .LIT file with MS Word. I only use the MS Reader on my Axim.

I have succeded in finding text/HTML extractors for the most formats of ebooks - use google.

It would be realy nice with one single converter; but I don't think it exist. Let's see if anybody have some good ideas.

There are a number of readers that claim to read all formats. I am not a user of any of them and use MS reader exclusivly. Many people swear good things about the other readers and I have tried most of them but all ways come back the MS one.....but thats just me. I also usually convert items into the text files and then use the MS reader plug in for word to convert to the MS Lit format. I know this is not the answer you were looking for and I am more than confident that soon a true believer of another reader style will come blazing in with high praise for thier personal favorite so stay tuned....good luck

Personally, I don't like the LIT reader. I use another app to convert .LIT to .TXT, then Mobipocket to their format.
