What with Baen having released Jerry Pournelle's CoDominium Future History Bundle with all of the Falkenberg Legion novels included and David Drake's Hammers Slammers stories also available there I decideed to look around the web and see if another of my favorite military Sci-Fi series Sten was available in eBook format. Unforunately it is not but I did discover that this long out of print series has been re-released in English by Orbit Books in the UK. I sent an email to Allan Cole and asked him what the eBook ststus of this series was. He replied that he has been urging Orbit Books to release the Sten Series in eBook format and encourages us to put in our two cents worth as well. I've sent Orbit a request, I hope you will too.

Don't Panic asks:
Hi Mister Cole,
Any chance that Orbit Books will offer the Sten series as eBooks? I had all 8 when they originally came out in paperback and would love to have them all available in the Microsoft .lit eBook format so I could read them on the go. Did you know that Jerry Pournelle released the entire Falkenberg Legions series as part of the CoDominium Future History Bundle in that format and many other eBook formats over on
www.baen.com ? I bought them all instantly and would do the same for your classic series.
Allan Cole replies:
I've been urging Orbit to do the same. And have urged other e-minded fans to email them to do an e-books release of the Sten series. Maybe you wouldn't mind joining the line. >g<
In case you are interested, Sten has been optioned by Skywalker (George Lucas) for an animated movie series, and a European game company is developing Sten as a game. FYI: Sten has literally sold millions of books in Europe.
Ten million hardback sales in Russia alone.
Go figure. My old CIA dad must be laughing in his grave to see what his son is up to in the land of his former enemies.
stregg forever...
