Does anyone know if it's possible to move the activation from one Axim to another?

I copied the files as described in the sticky topic devoted to saving the activation (couldn't find the *.unload file, but that doesn't seem to be a deal breaker), and the splash screen then said "Activated for Microsoft Reader." So far so good...

However...

When I try to open a DRM-protected LIT file, Reader crashes. Poof, disappears. Bombs out. "Exits unexpectedly."

Thoughts? Is that method only good for backing up and restoring activation on the same device?

I don't use the reader but I use other sites. Mobipocket ect and they usually require same name listed on device. Device ID. (usually your same name with the activation code)
